Simmons College is Louisville’s only HBCU. When the opportunity arose to give them a website design that fit the quality of school they were, I jumped at the chance.
This project focused on elevated design sense, distilling existing content, and focusing on brand implementation.
There were a lot of asks that needed to fit into the homepage header, and I used a myriad of different design conventions to make it all work cohesively.
Bringing recognition to an anchor in Louisville’s community.
One of the goals of the redesign was to set the crest up to be identified on its own. So I made it an element in many areas of the design.
The option to give photos a treatment with a simple block element helped make the simple more interesting.
